Senior executives of the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission attended the Central and Eastern Europe Anti-Doping Summit held in Warsaw, Poland on 9 – 10 October 2023.
The Summit, attended by the world’s leading anti-doping experts from 26 countries, was hosted by the Polish Anti-Doping Agency (POLADA) in cooperation with the Polish Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
At the Summit, topics include international and regional cooperation between National Anti-Doping Organizations, discussions on the Update of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards, cooperation between Anti-Doping Organizations and law enforcement agencies, the importance of education in preventing doping in sports, and the role of athletes and the media in promoting Clean Sport.
Turkish Anti-Doping Commission General Director Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner and Deputy Director General Atty. Mehmet Yoğurtcuoğlu participated as a speaker at the Summit. Prof. Dr. Rüştü Güner gave a speech at the “Education as the Key to (Future) Success” Panel, Atty. Mehmet Yoğurtcuoğlu also gave speech at the “Towards an Updated World Anti-Doping Rules for 2027” Panel.
