DOPING CONTROL OFFICER TRAINER TRAINING ORGANIZED FOR RADOCA COUNTRIES

Doping Control Officer Trainer Training 4-day education program was held on 22&23 and 29&30 May 2021 in cooperation with the Central Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADOCA) and the Turkish Anti-Doping Commission. 

The training program, which was organized for 18 trainees and 11 participants from Central Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADOCA) countries; Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia, was multifaceted with presentations by experts in the field of anti-doping, practical sessions, and homework on various scenarios related to doping control. During the training, simultaneous translation into Turkish-English and Turkish-Russian was provided.

During the training, which was implemented for the first time in this field online, the participants were given theoretical and practical information about the operation of the doping control process, the materials used, and common mistakes. The training program, which was carried out with the intense interest of the trainees, was completed with its rich and interactive content.

World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) National and Regional Anti-Doping Organizations Program Development Senior Manager Ieva Lukosiute-Stanikuniene, WADA Asia/Oceania Office Manager Kenny Lee, WADA Asia/Oceania Office Director Kazuhiro Hayashi, and WADA Training Manager Colin Allen attended the online Doping Control Officer Trainer Training.

In addition, Central Asia Regional Anti-Doping Organization (RADOCA) Director Venera Abdulla, RADOCA Chair Dr. Maira Bakasheva, and participants from the board of directors of the anti-doping organizations of the countries where the trainees are affiliated, participated in the 4-day training.

After the first implementation of the theoretical and practical online training model in doping control officer trainer training in the field of anti-doping, this model is planned to be applied to countries in need of capacity building.
